Around the world Business Families are engines of entrepreneurial activity, they blend family relationships with running a business and therefore experience a unique set of challenges. Along with advising on business and wealth concerns, advisors also need to understand the impact of family dynamics on the whole family enterprise system. The Institute of Family Enterprise Advisors (IFEA) is dedicated to understanding these complexities and as a global leader provides world-class education for family enterprise advisors.
IFEA and Ivey Business School invite you to an educational event where we will address some of the challenges of advising into this unique environment. David Simpson, Director of the Ivey Business Families Centre will talk about the importance of entrepreneurial thinking as family enterprises address the challenges of succession. "At least once a year families need to ask the tough questions," says David Simpson, and as advisors we need to encourage this inquiry. How can we help families navigate between the desire for legacy and the need for change? What can we do to support the rising generation as they take on leadership roles and face rapidly changing markets?
This is also the perfect opportunity for advisors curious about the FEA Program and Designation to learn about this rapidly growing program, meet our FEA designates, and participate in an in-depth discussion on the field of family enterprise.
Bring a colleague, your questions, and ideas. Join the conversation.
Lunch will be provided and there is no charge. Anyone wishing to attend can register below or contact us at info@ifea.ca
