DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies
Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students entering Year 4 of any module in the DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies, based on academic achievement in Year 3 and interest in entrepreneurship. Online applications can be accessed through the DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies website. Applications, including a resume describing the applicant's qualifications, must be submitted by November 1. The DAN Management Student Awards Committee will select the recipients. This scholarship was established by a generous donation from the Dan Family.
Awarded to each group member of the winning Business 2257 Feasibility Project as selected by the judges of the competition. Judges are selected by the HBA Program Director. Value: Medal and cash award. The cash award depends on the size of the group and the current rates of return on the capital funds of this award.
Faculty of Engineering
Gary Mottershead, BESc’75, MBA’77 has coached more than 3000 entrepreneurs over the last 20 years and enjoyed his own success as head of GCP Industrial Products, an international company. In 2005, Mottershead established the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in order to recognize a full-time undergraduate student who demonstrates passion, persistence, and achievement in developing an innovative or entrepreneurial idea through the use of engineering principles.

Awarded annually to students entering their second year in the Faculty of Engineering who have a career objective in entrepreneurship or marketing, and who are planning to combine Business with their Engineering degree. The students should have demonstrated leadership ability as well as involvement in outside activities. The recipients will be selected by the Undergraduate Awards Committee in the Faculty of Engineering. These scholarships will continue into third and fourth year of the Engineering program as long as the recipient maintains an 80% average. These scholarships were established through the generosity of EMCO Corporation. Value: 2 at $3,900 each ($1,300 annually for three years).

Ivey Business School
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student at the Ivey Business School who has been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Preference will be given to a female candidate who best personifies the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. This award was established by Carolyn Cross, HBA '84, to support and recognize outstanding women in management who are in pursuit of excellence.
Awarded annually to full-time HBA students accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. This scholarship was established by a generous gift from Donald Lang, HBA ’80 with Foundation Western.
Annually awarded to student entering HBA and HBA 2 with interest in Entrepreneurship and having graduated from a publicly funded high school. Preference will be given to residents of British Columbia. These awards were established through a generous gift from the Gudewill Family to help recruit and retain the best and brightest students to Ivey.
Awarded annually to two students finishing HBA 1 based on academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership and a strong interest in entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will have been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship stream. These scholarships were established by a generous gift from the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation.
Awarded annually to full-time HBA 1 students at the Ivey Business School who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. These awards were established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Jackson Family Foundation.

Award 1: Awarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie, HBA ’60. Value: $5,300.
Award 2: Awarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA 2 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie, HBA ’60. Value: 1 at $20,000.

Awarded to a full-time undergraduate HBA student at the Ivey Business School who is applying for acceptance into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and who personifies the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. This scholarship was made possible through a donation from Mr. Paul Sabourin, MBA '80.
Awarded to a student entering first year of a full-time undergraduate program at Western, who has also applied to the Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) at the Ivey Business School. In addition to illustrating outstanding academic quality (minimum 90% admission average), the successful applicant will have expressed an interest in entrepreneurship as per the student's application to AEO. This award was established by Pierre Morrissette, MBA '72, Chairman to recognize the 10th anniversary between The Weather Network (Canada) and Weather Channel Networks (USA).
Awarded annually to a full-time student entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School, who graduated from a publicly funded high school and is based on academic achievement, leadership skill and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. This award was established with a generous gift from the QuantumShift Fellows to recognize the leadership and contributions of QuantumShift program founder Eric A. Morse.
Awarded to a student who is entering HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School. Preference will be given to a female student who has been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship. This award was established with a gift from Tevya Rosenberg, HBA '73.
Awarded to a student entering the MBA program who demonstrates academic performance, leadership ability, entrepreneurial skills and an interest in contributing to the development of both the Canadian economy and one's own community. These awards were made possible as a result of a donation from the Nelson M. Davis Trust Fund. Mr. Davis (1906-1979) was a prominent Toronto businessman whose knowledge, breadth of vision and accomplishments were outstanding endorsements of the free enterprise system.
Awarded to an MBA student at the Ivey Business School with outstanding academic achievement (minimum 78% average) and an entrepreneurial drive and spirit. This award was made possible by a gift from Mr. Seymour Schulich.
Awarded to a student entering HBA1 at the Richard Ivey School of Business with a minimum 70% average and demonstrated financial need. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need and the HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. Preference will be given to a student who is or has been a member of Enactus Canada (formerly Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). Applications for this award can be obtained from the HBA Program Office at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Applications must be received by January 31. In addition, candidates must complete a financial assistance application, which is available online through the Registrar's website. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need and the HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient This award was established with a generous gift from Mr. Ian Aitken, HBA '87. Value: 1 at $5,000.

Awarded annually to a full-time student entering the HBA program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, interest in entrepreneurship, and engagement in a variety of activities outside the classroom, including, but not limited to, leadership on campus and in the community, athletic involvement and/or part-time work experience. Preference will be given to a student in the top 25% of the applicant pool, based on academic performance. The recipient will be selected by the HBA Scholarship Committee. This award was established with a generous gift from Erik Mikkelsen, HBA ’06, to recognize and provide support for aspiring future entrepreneurs. Value: 1 at $10,000.

Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student entering first year in the Faculty of Law, who has demonstrated financial need and an interest or background in entrepreneurship. Online financial assistance applications can be accessed through Student Center. The Admissions Committee in the Faculty of Law will select the recipient once the Registrar's Office has determined financial need. This award was established by a generous gift from Ricketts, Harris LLP, Barristers & Solicitors, in memory of their partner, colleague and friend Robert (Bob) D. Preston (BA '65, LLB `69). Value: 1 at $2,300.

Second-Year Students
Our Founders Program empowers Western's future generation of entrepreneurs by strengthening their entrepreneurial skillset and ambitions. Through this program, students gain access to education, mentorship, a $20,000 three-year tuition bursary, and the opportunity to grow their entrepreneurial network on campus.
