Janet Johnson is the Chief Financial Officer of Libro Credit Union, a financial institution based in Ontario with over $7 billion in assets under management. Driven by Libro's purpose to strengthen financial well-being for people, businesses and communities, Janet provides leadership in areas of Finance, Treasury, and Corporate Services. The teams she leads are responsible for safeguarding the assets of Libro Owners (members), ensuring financial sustainability, and providing exceptional service, all while operating within the context of a regulated industry. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Janet plays an important role in strategy development and implementation.
Prior to joining Libro in 2018, Janet worked at EY and has extensive experience in Accounting, Assurance, and Risk Management and spent two years gaining international experience in Australia. During her time at EY, Janet spent several years as a part of the National Professional Practice Assurance group and was involved in the development and change management plans of several global initiatives.
She holds an Honours Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Janet has an Advanced Executive Certificate from Queens University and continues to develop her knowledge through executive education.
