New Home of Entrepreneurship

The Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation will be the physical home of entrepreneurship at Western University. Situated at the heart of campus, it will be Western’s first net-zero-energy building and a gathering place that houses a state-of-the-art, active learning classroom; a maker space equipped with 3D printers, metalworking, machinery, and woodworking tools; and a digital lab.

Whether you are eager to start a new company or incorporate entrepreneurial skills into your toolkit, our Certificate in Entrepreneurship will provide you with the educational foundation to think of new ideas, develop and execute successfully. The certificate is open to all degree students at Western University and includes courses in ideation, venture creation, and mentorship through our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence.
